Carli Mareneck’s “Grandma’s Thimble” with Taylor Alef (left) and Carli Mareneck

This week, COME TOGETHER at the Lewis Theatre

Don’t miss live at the Lewis Theatre, March 19-21, Come Together, a new production of original dance and movement theatre by Trillium Performing Arts Collective. The Friday and Saturday evening performances are at 7:30 and on Sunday at 3pm.

A special feature of this weekend is that different talented musicians will open the house each day. Jeannie Hoffman and Allan Sizemore on Friday, and Tony Rogers (cello) on Saturday will welcome the audience before the concert begins. These musicians helped create the sound score for “Grandma’s Thimble”, one of Mareneck’s works which was just performed March 8 at Tamarack (see photo!).

Artistic director of this production, Carli Mareneck, says, “it is exciting to watch each choreographer’s vision fulfilled through the work of such dedicated performers. The title of the concert, Come Together, refers both to the Trillium Performing Youth piece that closes the program and to all the diverse elements that come together to create a Trillium concert.”

Tickets for Come Together are priced affordable from $10-18 with a $5 additional discount for Trillium students, and are available at the Trillium office, 115 N Court St., Lewisburg (cash or checks only), or online at www.trilliumperformingarts.org (credit cards only). For more information, please call Trillium at 304-645-3003.

This program is presented with financial assistance from the WV Division of Culture and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts.
