Fourth Of July At Douthat   Douthat State Park invites guests to the park for fun activities in celebration of our nation’s independence the weekend of July 4, 2010. Biff Downey will be performing at Douthat State Park Saturday, July 3, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Every Saturday evening during the summer special talent from the region is showcased. This week's special guest will be performing jazz on the shores of Douthat's lake at the amphitheater. On Sunday, July 4, join the Rev. Glenn Clements from First Christian Church for a nondenominational worship service at the beach amphitheater starting at 8 a.m. In addition to the park’s regular interpretive programs throughout the weekend, take part in activities on Sunday afternoon, July 4 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Douthat will be offering Sea to Shining Sea Sand Sculpting, Liberty Limbo, Revolutionary Relays and a Hula Hoop Contest.
