Church Choirs Invited To Be Part Of Community Mass Choir   The Alleghany Highlands Arts Council announced that it is inviting members of all area church choirs to be part of a Community Mass Choir that will perform in next month's Holiday Spectacular 2011. "During the show's final scene, there is a call to the manger," explained Arts Council Executive Director Tammy Scruggs-Duncan. "We plan for the different members to wear their church's choir robes and I hope we have many of our areas congregations represented as they meld together on the stage. There have been issues that have separated us as a community lately but Christmas is the perfect time to recover our unity and stand around the Nativity together." Shows are Sunday, December 4 and Monday, December 5 at Covington High School. Singers wishing to participate should call the Arts Council at 962-6220 for further details.
