Cadets from the Virginia Military Institute have been attending a 154-hour Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course this semester with Dabney S. Lancaster Community College EMS Program Head Jeanette Mann (front row, far left) and adjunct instructor Andy Daniel (front row, far right). The cadets met on the VMI campus in Lexington as well as the DSLCC campus in Clifton Forge for several weekend classes. After successfully completing the course in May, the cadets are eligible to take the National Registry certification exam to become National Registry Emergency Medical Technicians. DSLCC and VMI are exploring a similar collaboration for upcoming semesters.
