'Something Wicked' Set For Masonic Theatre

“Something Wicked”, the haunted happening event that ghouls and goblins wait for all year long is back for its third year of horrors this Halloween. The theme this year is “House of Horror” and because of construction issues, “Something Wicked” will take place around the corner from the Masonic Theatre—its usual venue. “Something Wicked” will reside at 314 Commercial Avenue, which is commonly known as the Stewart Building. At least “Something Wicked” will start at 314 Commercial—who knows where it may end up.

For those brave enough to attend “Something Wicked” many surprises are being planned. The event will take place on Friday, October 24 from 7:00 to 11:00 pm, Saturday, October 25 from 7:00 to 11:00 pm and Thursday, October 30 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

“Something Wicked’s” coordinator, Brittany Feazell, stated, “We have so many volunteers that pitch in and become scary monsters just for this event. We appreciate all the help we get especially from members of the Masonic Theatre Preservation Foundation, and young people from the Alleghany Highlands. All proceeds from “Something Wicked” go to SAVE THE MASONIC restoration, so all the volunteers spend three nights screaming and scaring, all for the good of the Masonic Theatre.”

Tickets are $5.00 each and may be purchased at the door. “Something Wicked” is suitable for ages twelve and up, and attendees must be able to climb stairs. For more information, visit www.historicmasonictheatre.com or visit Historic Masonic Facebook page.
