The Phi Theta Kappa chapter at Dabney S Lancaster Community College recently sponsored a mass signing of a pledge for students to promise to complete their associate degrees or certificates before leaving community college for transfer or to enter the job market. A total of 100 students, administrators, faculty and staff at DSLCC signed the pledge, committing themselves to do whatever they can to facilitate completion of student credentials. Signing the pledge in Moomaw Center were (standing, from left) Kathy Smestad of Clifton Forge, a Phi Theta Kappa advisor, and students Tara Bradley and Katie Weese, both of Covington. Phi Theta Kappa members looking on are (seated, from left), Dan Bluntzer of Chantilly, Lisa Colwill of Selma and Hannah Bradley of Covington.
