First Basic Rider Motorcycle Safety Course March 27-29

| The first of a series of “Basic Rider Motorcycle Safety” courses will be hosted by Dabney S. Lancaster Community College the weekend of March 27-29. Participants who complete the 3-day course and pass both the written and riding skills tests earn a 30-day Virginia DMV motorcycle license.
The courses will be held Friday through Sunday on the following dates for the remainder of the year: March 27-29, April 24-26, May 15-17, June 19-21, July 24-26, August 21-23, September 25-27 and October 23-25.
The classroom portion of the course is held on Friday night, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at the DSLCC Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista, and on Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm at Lee-Hi Travel Plaza in Lexington. Motorcycles and helmets are provided; in-state tuition for the one-credit course is $138.50. Class size is limited to 12 students.
