MeadWestvaco To Be Renamed WestRock   RICHMOND, Va. (Monday, May 18, 2015) - MeadWestvaco will be known by a new name.The company, which is in the process of merging with RockTenn, announced Monday that it will be known as WestRock. WestRock has a paper and packaging facility in Covington. WestRock will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “WRK.â€� "WestRock draws on the strongest elements from each of our legacy names," Steve Voorhees, who will be the chief executive officer of WestRock Company, said in a statement. "The name speaks to our determination to build on the long track record of success and growth that has been established by both companies. WestRock's aspiration is to be the premier partner and unrivaled provider of winning paper and packaging solutions for our customers." The combination of MeadWestvaco and RockTenn was announced in January. The companies already have received antitrust approval. They are awaiting regulatory and shareholder approvals, which are expected in June.
