ALLEGHANY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

REGULAR MEETING AGENDA

4.     MINUTES:     

     A.     Approval of the minutes of: (1) a regular meeting held on August 4, 2015.

5.     PUBLIC HEARINGS:     

     A.     Public Hearing to consider the conveyance by Alleghany County of a 0.0461 acre permanent septic line easement under the Jackson River Scenic Trail to Mr. Rodney W. Kyle.

     B.     Public Hearing to consider:

          -     The lease by Alleghany County of approximately 4.51 acres of land owned by the County located near Selma (known as the Selma Yard) to Bennett Logging & Lumber, Inc. The property is further identified on the Real Property Identification Maps of Alleghany County as 04300-00-000-0380.

          -     An extension of the existing Option Agreement between Alleghany County and Bennett Logging & Lumber, Inc. to purchase property owned by the County located near Selma for either Option A (approximately 22.74 acres) or Option B (approximately 5.02 acres) of the 31.19 acres. The property is further identified on the Real Property Identification Maps of Alleghany County as containing all or part of 04300-00-000-016B, 04300-00-000-0380, 043A0-01-000-00C0, C0340-01-000-0A00, and C0340-01-000-0A10.

7.     VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (VDOT) UPDATE:

     A.     Ms. Susan Hammond, VDOT Resident Engineer - Update.

8.     UNFINISHED BUSINESS:     None.

9.     NEW BUSINESS:     

     A.     Mrs. Ingrid Barber, Alleghany Highlands Community Services Executive Director - Discuss and consider FY 15-16 performance contract with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.

     B.     Discuss and consider an amendment to the Term Engineering Contract with Spectrum Design for construction inspection/project representative services for the LMWWTP upgrade and the Cherokee and Mallow sewer pump station replacement projects.

     C.     The term of Ms. Harriet Woodward (Falling Spring District) on the TAP Board of Directors expires September 8, 2015. Terms are for two years and Ms. Woodward is eligible for reappointment.
