An Evening with Brightwork at the Masonic Amphitheatre On September 12th

Clifton Forge, VA (August 30, 2015) - Hailing from Roanoke, VA, Brightwork will present an evening of music on the award-winning Masonic Amphitheatre stage on Saturday, September 12 at 6:00 p.m.

Brightwork booked their first show in May of ’09 before holding a band practice. With the pressure on, the fledgling group of college friends logged a series of marathon practices holed up in stuffy basements and fly-ridden trailers. By the end of a long and rewarding summer of writing and performing, Brightwork discovered that their direction had evolved from a project into a calling. Since then, they have shared the stage with several national touring acts including Jeremy Camp, Sanctus Real, Aaron Gillespie (The Almost/Underoath), The Afters, Mikeschair, Future of Forestry, Starfield, Revive, and many others.

Recording their debut EP in the spring of 2010 with producer Scott Campbell (Mainstay), Brightwork forged their own sound amidst a sea of musical influences. The blended textures of overdriven guitars and warm piano melodies place Brightwork in a category of their own.

In June of 2011, Brightwork headed to Coda Record House in Lincoln, NE to record their sophomore release with producers Riley Friesen (Vota, Staggerford) and Philip Zach (Remedy Drive). They emerged armed with a fresh and refined repBass/BGV's; John Davis, Lead Guitar, and Andrew Wycoff, Drums.

“Our mission is to integrate our desires to write and perform with a higher desire to serve Jesus and make him known”, Caleb states. “To us, music is just the means we’ve been given to genuinely connect with people and share what really matters. We love people, and our songs are the way we express and share our hearts, life experiences, and the creativity from which they come.”

Tickets for An Evening with Brightwork are $8.00 and are available at Club Car, Jack Mason’s, Owen’s Pharmacy, Alleghany Highlands Chamber Office, Vintage Bouquet, online at www.historicmasonictheatre.com and at the Amphitheatre Entrance Tent prior to the performance.
