Global Warming Class Scheduled at DSLCC Rockbridge Center

 
Clifton Forge, VA (Sept. 24, 2015) - Dabney S. Lancaster Community College is hosting a lecture/conference series on ā€œGlobal Climate Changeā€ this fall with instructor Donald Henke, former instructor in government and international politics at Piedmont Virginia Community College.

A two-hour Preview, introducing the subject of 21 Century climate change, titled Global Warming: The Basic Science?, is free to the public and will be held on Friday, October 16, from 7 to 9 pm in Room 908 at DSLCC's Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista. This Preview will provide the basis for understanding the life-critical impact of adverse climate change now taking place across the globe as a result of humanity's use of fossil fuels. Enrollment at DSLCC is not required for the Preview session and the public is invited to attend, but space is limited, so please call to reserve a seat.

The expanded series will continue on October 23 each Friday evening from 7 to 9 pm for an additional five weeks, ending on November 20, and will deliver a more comprehensive exploration of this topic. Tuition for the full series is $90.
