VMI Basketball Announces Three Signees

 
Lexington, VA (Nov. 13, 2015) - VMI head basketball coach Dan Earl announced the signings of three recruits to National Letters-of-Intent.

Joining the Keydet basketball program beginning in 2016-17 will be 6-10, 240 center Tyler Creammer, 6-8, 200 forward Will Miller, and 6-2, 180 guard Drew Rackley.

"We are very excited about our fall of 2016 recruiting class of Drew Rackley, Will Miller and Tyler Creammer and their committing to play for us at VMI," said Earl. “All three student-athletes are quality players, very good students, and great people – who fit our mission and philosophy here at VMI. We are thrilled to have them as a part of our VMI Basketball Program and know that they have very bright futures.â€

Creammer, from Parkton, N.C., attends the Miller School in the Charlottesville, Va. area after playing previously at South View High School in Hope Mills, N.C. Creammer averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds as a junior and was selected team defensive player of the year in 2013-14. At South View, he set the single game mark for rebounds with 23. His top prep games include 16 points, 17 rebounds against Prominence Academy, 16 points and 20 rebounds against Elite Prep, 18 points, 12 rebounds against Hargrave post-grad, and 17 points, 8 rebounds against Fishburne post grad.

Miller attends Halifax County High School in South Boston, Virginia where he has earned first team All-District and All-Conference honors as well as second team 5A North Region recognition. He has played on two conference championship and once district champion teams. While playing at Halifax, Miller and teammates have lost only two home games in two years. He also played Team Richmond AAU team.

Rackley as a junior at John Glenn High School in New Concord, Ohio averaged 21 points and seven rebounds and was a first team All-Ohio selection and was nominated for Mr. Basketball as a junior. He was named District Player of the Year and helped lead his team to two straight league titles and back-to-back final appearances.
