BROWN BAG BOOK CLUB TO MEET ON JUNE 16

Clifton Forge, VA (June 7, 2016) - The Clifton Forge Public Library’s Brown Bag Book Club will meet on Thursday, June 16.

The group will discuss Marcus Zusak’s #1 New York Times best seller, “The Book Thief.” Narrated by Death and set in 1939 Nazi Germany, it is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living near Munich. When she discovers that she cannot resist books, she begins to scratch out a meager existence for herself by stealing. “Superbly crafted writing that burns with intensity,” the author presents an “unforgettable story about the ability of books to feed the soul.”

The group meets from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., in the Library’s Michael Armstrong Community Room.

New members are always welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring a friend and to bring a lunch. Dessert will be provided.

The library is located at 535 Church Street.
