Explore the Arts Display at Clifton Forge Public Library

Clifton Forge, VA (July 19 2016) - The Clifton Forge Public Library is pleased to feature an assortment of materials and art by students and instructors that are used in the classes now being offered by the Clifton Forge School of the Arts (CFSOTA).

The display includes a porcelain round platter and small stoneware clay bowls from the pottery class, and iron wall hooks along with nails from the blacksmithing class. Woodworking features hand-turned wood vases.

Model figures of a horse and cat are examples of aids used in drawing and painting animals in action.

Sketch pads and pencils represent drawing classes, while brushes, paints, and a model figure of Vincent Van Gogh with an easel, canvas and paints highlight the painting classes.

The mission of CFSOTA is to offer opportunities for learning and training in the fine and applied arts to adults and to children.

Summer classes at CFSOTA are ongoing throughout July and August. Information about the classes and fees is available with the library display and on the CFSOTA website.
