Judith Sivonda and Norman Aberle

Art Show At CFSOTA Features Sivonda, Aberle
Show Runs Through October 1, 2016

Clifton Forge, VA (August 9, 2016) - “We are thrilled to exhibit the skills and creativity of two of our instructors in our gallery.” Laura Rainone, Director, CFSOTA. The show runs from August 6 through October 1, 2016. Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm or by appointment.

Siblings Judith Sivonda and Norman Aberle have had widely varied careers, she in Connecticut and he in Florida. They have both spent most of their lives working in the fields of art, design and education. They also share a great appreciation of history. Judith received her Master’s Degree in History, and Norman was the Curator of the Key West Art and Historical Society for nearly a decade. Both now live in the Alleghany Highlands and teach at the Clifton Forge School of the Arts.

Clifton Forge School of the Arts, located in historic Clifton Forge, Virginia, is proudly hosting an exhibit of paintings and sculpture by these two instructors. Judith has taught at the art school since its inception five and a half years ago. Norman started teaching at the school four years ago, soon after moving here from the Florida Keys. The entire show of paintings and sculptures features aspects of our regional identity through landscapes, even its abstract sculptures evoke the natural rock formations of the Highlands.

“We want everyone to see the level of expertise available at our art school,” says Helen Kostel, Director Emeritus. Clifton Forge School of the Arts offers instruction in many aspects of fine and applied arts, including: painting, drawing, pottery, sculpture, stained glass, woodworking, blacksmithing, fiber arts, music and performing arts, for children and adults.
