DSLCC's Joyce Broughman Talks About Dislocated Worker Program Known As ON RAMP

 
Clifton Forge, VA (Sept. 13, 2016) - DSLCC ON RAMP program coordinator Joyce Broughman came to the AlleghanyJournal.com's studios (soon to be AJTVLive!) to explain the details of this federally sponsored dislocated worker program.

Students who qualify may get full tuition, books, and fees paid for and there are even funds for additional expenses that may be incurred.

What qualified as a "dislocated worker?"

1. Someone who has ben laid off from employment and is receiving unemployment benefits.

2. A displaced homemaker - someone who has lost the income of a family member due to death or divorce.

3. Is a spouse of an active duty military member - who is unemployed due to a permanent change of duty station.
