Lancaster Community College students Caleb Morrison and Marie Shiraki, both enrolled in the new Arts Management program at DSLCC, met with two officials from Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg, WV. During a visit on October 11, the DSLCC visitors learned about the history of Carnegie Hall, its organization, its focuses, and its impacts in the community. The tour was part of a course taught by DSLCC Associate Professor Tondalaya VanLear to introduce students to arts management as a career pathway. The students visit a variety of arts-based venues to learn about the many aspects of the organization and what types of knowledge and skill sets are needed to maintain a successful operation.
