George Huger (left), owner and manager of the Southern Inn Restaurant in downtown Lexington, congratulates Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Culinary Arts student Kelsey Lindsay, the recipient of the inaugural Southern Inn Culinary Arts Scholarship. The commemorative plaque (shown) names the Chef’s Office at the DSLCC Rockbridge Regional Center the “Southern Inn Restaurant Culinary Arts Program Director’s Office” in recognition of the restaurant’s generous donation during Imagine, Invest, Inspire – The Campaign for DSLCC, the DSLCC Educational Foundation’s successful major gifts campaign, completed in June 2016. Kelsey is a first year Culinary Arts student from Bath County who plans to make a career in baking and pastry.
