 | Roanoke County, VA (Feb. 7, 2017) - Units responded to a brush fire at the 145 mile marker on southbound Interstate 81 at 11:46 a.m.
The fire was contained in about ten minute after Roanoke County Fire Department arrived. The fire did not leave the area of the Interstate and no structure were threatened. One lane of traffic is open at this time southbound while fire crews make sure the fire is out. The backup extends into Botetourt County to the 150 Exit.
