Covington Police Investigating Credit Card Skimmer   Covington, VA (March 21, 2017) - A Compliance Officer in the Division of Consumer Protection with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Protection reported to the 
Covington Police Department that a Bluetooth Credit Card Skimmer had been discovered at a location in Covington.      The Bluetooth credit card skimmer was found on one of the gas pumps at the Exxon Mobile Gas Station at 1410 S. Durant Road. The gas pump that the skimmer was located on was immediately taken out of service.      This report was made to the Covington Police Department on Monday, March 20, 2017. It is undetermined how long the skimmer might have been in place, possibly up to a month.      Individuals who have purchased gasoline with a credit card from this location should review their credit card service for unauthorized purchases.      The Covington Police Department is investigating this incident.
