Low Moor, VA (March 22, 2017) - At last night's joint Alleghany County School Board/Alleghany County Board of Supervisors meeting two items stood out: 1) there seemed to be wide agreement with respect to the advisability of implementing the New Tech program and 2) a general atmosphere of conviviality and shared sense of goals between the two organizations. Below, from left, are County School Board chairman Randy Tucker, school board member Gerald Franson and at rear, county school finance director Kevin Rice. The school system wants level funding for the next fiscal year plus a commitment of $50,000 per year extra for five years to get the New Tech program going. (Photo by Jerry E. Joint County/Supervisors Meeting Was Productive Session

Superintendent of County Schools, Eugene Kotulka went through the now-offically passed county school budget for what appeared to be about the fourth time.
