     MINUTES      March 14, 2017                                                                                RECOMMENDATION: Approve minutes of March 14, 2017

•ACTION ITEMS

     GRANT THE TOWN MANAGER AUTHORITY TO ACT AS ZONING      ADMINISTRATOR RETROACTIVE TO OCTOBER 14, 2017

     With the continued vacancy in the Community Development Director position, it has been advised to transfer the actions of Zoning Administrator to the Town Manager as an acting status.

          RECOMMENDATION: Grant authority as listed

• SURPLUS ITEMS

Staff has identified a number of items which can be disposed of once declared surplus, through either internet auction or a government related site or sealed bid (see list attached).

          RECOMMENDATION:      Agree to declare the items as surplus and                                     authorize the Town Manager to sell the items listed in the attachment

• INFORMATION

The Clifton Forge Police Department, along with Greenbrier Veterinary Hospital will be hosting a Rabies Clinic on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 1-4 PM at the Clifton Forge Fire Department at 701 Church Street. Rabies vaccinations for both dogs and cats will be $8.50 each and other services will also be available. The Town requires that all dogs and cats be vaccinated against rabies and licensed, but the event is open to everyone regardless of residential area. A Town representative will also be available at the clinic for you purchase animals tags if you have not already done so. For more information, you may contact the Clifton Forge Police Department at 863-2513.
