The Jackson River Governor’s School at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College hosted its annual Science Fair April 19 in Moomaw Center on the DSLCC Clifton Forge campus. The fair represents the culmination of scientific research projects done by the JRGS students in two back-to-back classes, “Introduction to Research I and II”, taught by Barbara Kolb . The six winners chosen were, seated, from left: Aysha Wright, Cassie Conner, Makayla Bowker, Evan Rose, Hannah Craft and Margaret Donnan. Other students participating were, standing, from left: Khrea Hernandez, Lexi Harlow, Xavier Storey, Mark Walton, Luke Bradley, Savannah Snider, Kelly Rock and Madison Armontrout. Not pictured: Trey Honts, Maia Baldridge, Elias Linsin and Seth Fertig. All of the students are from Alleghany High School, except Craft, Snider and Baldridge, who attend Parry McCluer High School in Buena Vista, and Rose and Fertig, from Covington High School.
