Glenn Kidder and SideKicks to Perform at the Masonic Amphitheatre

Clifton Forge, VA (July 21, 2017) - On Friday, August 11 at 7:30 p.m. the Masonic Amphitheatre will welcome Glenn Kidder and SideKicks to its award-winning stage.

Glenn Kidder is a creative and diverse singer-songwriter, guitarist, and percussionist whose original songs cross the genres of folk-rock, blues and country. This natural performer creates a relaxed, intimate feel with a playful approach to lyrics describing the crazy dance of love and the rollercoaster rides of life.

Kidder is a Pittsburgh native and long-time Boston resident. He began songwriting in his teens and became a full-time solo performer for many years before becoming a founding member of the successful Central PA acoustic folk-rock band, Cartoon, which released 4 CDs. He plays in annual shows at the Central PA Festival of the Arts and played regular gigs when living in the Boston area.

Kidder moved to the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia in 2013, where the peaceful setting serves as inspiration for his songwriting. Adding new depth to Kidder’s sound are his SideKicks: Steve Bowers, bass guitar; Sherrie Pifer, vocals; and Randy Pritt, percussion.

Speaking of the upcoming show at the Amphitheatre, Kidder remarked, "The Amphitheatre is a great venue - good sound; very well run operation. Listeners can sit nice and close so it becomes an intimate experience. I'm excited to be able to perform there with the SideKicks - a chance to highlight original music, as well as some fun cover tunes. We like that we're helping to support the Masonic Theatre Complex, and we're looking forward to a fun summer evening!”

Tickets for Glenn Kidder and SideKicks at the Masonic Amphitheatre are $10.00 and may be purchased online at www.historicmasonictheatre.com, by calling the Theatre box office a 540 862 5655 or at the Entrance Tent prior to the performance. Bring your lawn chairs or use the Amphitheatre bench or chair seating. Rain location for Glenn Kidder and SideKicks is The Historic Masonic Theatre.
