Dabney Day, Career Fair Set October 5   Clifton Forge, VA (Sept. 22, 2017) - A combined “Career Fair” and “Dabney Day”, featuring local businesses and industries with information about all of the educational and training programs available at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, will be held on the Clifton Forge campus on Thursday, October 5, from 9 am to noon. Students from high schools and technical centers in the DSLCC service area have been invited to attend, as well as all current DSLCC students. “We have several employers from our area who will be represented, and the Forestry Department at DSLCC will be doing a demonstration with their competition team,” says Tim Cary, Coordinator of Secondary Programs at DSLCC. One of the largest presentations will be from the Virginia Department of Transportation. Information about scholarships and tuition assistance, as well as grants for career and technical training for DSLCC students, will be available.
