Alleghany School Board Appointments Noted; One Resignation   Low Moor, VA (Oct. 17, 2017) - At the conclusion of closed session at Callaghan Elementary School on October 16, 2017 the School Board took the following personnel action: Approved the appointment of Kristin L. Vass as the School Nurse at Mountain View Elementary School and Daphne P. Livesay as a Teacher Assistant at Alleghany High School. Substitute teachers approved include Kelly G. Kern, Mitch P. Martin, and Chloe D. Bruce. Substitute teacher assistants; Brenda C. Daniels and Jennifer H. Peters. Substitute bus drivers approved were Tabetha l. Bickford and Joseph A. Scialoia. The Board also approved the transfer of Debra L. Prior to maintenance custodian. Extra-Curricular paid appointments approved were Jeremy C. Bartley as Winter Weight Coach, Sadie J. Dickson as Spring Musical Assistant Director, and Robert S. Donnan as Girls Soccer Head Coach at Alleghany High School. Gregory L. Entsminger was approved as an unpaid volunteer JV Boys Basketball Assistant Coach and Steven D. Holt was approved as an unpaid volunteer Wrestling Assistant Coach at Alleghany High School. Madison K. Carter was approved as an unpaid Girls Basketball Assistant Coach at Clifton Middle School. The School Board accepted the resignation of Steven W. Baker, Math Teacher at Clifton Middle School effective October 18, 2017.
