|Arc Welding Courses Scheduled at BTEC|
Clifton Forge, VA (Feb. 9, 2018) - Two 40-hour arc welding courses have been scheduled at the Botetourt Technical Education Center in Fincastle this semester, sponsored by Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Workforce Solutions and Community Education. The instructor for both is Chris Zalewski.
â€śGas Metal Arc Weldingâ€ť (GMAW) includes both classroom instruction and hands-on lab training on one welding position, 1G flat groove. The tuition fee of $999 includes all instructional materials and qualification testing. The class will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings, February 26 â€“ March 28, from 6 to 10 pm.
â€śFluxcore Metal Arc Weldingâ€ť (FCAW) includes both classroom and hands-on lab training for two welding positions, vertical and overhead. The class meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 10 pm, February 27 â€“ March 29. The tuition fee of $999 also includes all instructional materials and qualification tests.
No experience is necessary for either of these courses, which provide entry-level job readiness training. BTEC is located at 253 Poor Farm Road, Fincastle.
