DSLCC Pharmacy Technician Course Includes 80-Hour Externship

 
Clifton Forge, VA (Feb. 28, 2018) - Dabney S. Lancaster Community College’s Workforce Solutions and Community Education Division is offering a 50-hour Pharmacy Technician course this spring, beginning March 20. The course prepares students to work in a retail or other pharmacy setting and to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s exam.

Class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, through May 8, from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m., in Backels Hall, Room 224, on the Clifton Forge campus.

The tuition of $1,299 includes textbooks and an 80-hour clinical externship, upon the successful completion of the course. The cost of the PTCB exam is not included.

DSLCC is also offering two other 50-hour health-care related courses at its DSLCC Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista: “Dialysis Technician,” starting on March 13, and “EKG Technician,” beginning March 26.
