Tooth Fairy Visits Pre-school Storytime

Clifton Forge, VA (March 8, 2018) - In celebration of National Children's Dental Health Month, the Clifton Forge Public Library recently welcomed the Tooth Fairy to its February Pre-school Storytime. The Tooth Fairy talked with the children about taking good care of their teeth and played a game with them that encouraged healthy eating habits. She also gave each child a gift bag that included a toothbrush and toothpaste.

Library Assistant Debra Henn read “The Tooth Book,” written by Theo LeSieg.

The children made a collage on a poster of happy and sad teeth. They added examples of good and poor eating choices. Story time concluded with singing and a snack.

The Tooth Fairy is pictured with Matthew and Aedyn Wilson, Bethany, Wyatt and Silas Downey, Tia and Levi Higgins, Tiffany, Chayton and Jolon Little. The Tooth Fairy’s visit was made possible by Registered Dental Hygienist Catie Carpenter, courtesy of Slaughter and Slaughter, Family Dentistry. She was assisted by Ronola Carpenter.

The Library’s next Pre-school Storytime will be held on Wednesday, March 21, from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Parents with pre-school children are invited to attend.

The Clifton Forge Public Library is located at 535 Church Street. For information on any library program, call 863-2519.
