Alleghany Humane Society Seeks Run/Walk Participants   Covington, VA (May 4, 2018) - The Alleghany Humane Society will hold the second annual Tails on the Trail 5K run/walk at the Jackson River Scenic Trail on June 16, 2018. Registration will begin at 9 am at the Intervale trailhead. A blessing of the animals will be held at 9:45 am, followed by a meet and greet of shelter dogs. The registration fee is $35 for adults and $15 for youth under 12 years. Participants can run/walk with or without a dog. The fee includes a t-shirt and a bandana for 4-legged participants.
