Friends of the Library Donate Plaque   Clifton Forge, VA (May 23, 2018) - Three officers of the Friends of the Clifton Forge Public Library view a sign recently posted in the Library’s children’s area which says, “Children’s Programs and Furnishings Sponsored by Friends of the C.F.P.L.” The Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization. The dues to be a member of the Friends as well as funds raised from sponsored activities, including their semi-annual book sales, support the library and the services it offers to the public. The Friends will be sponsoring the Library’s upcoming Summer Reading Program which is scheduled from June 1 through August 3. In addition to reading incentives, it will include seven special programs. The first program will be held on Wednesday, June 6, when Library Director Mike Barnes will welcome Magician Mike Klee. The program will begin at 10:30 and will be held at the Masonic Amphitheatre. The Friends also sponsor adult programs and activities. Clifton Forge Public Library is located at 535 Church Street.
