Honky Tonk Experience

The Honky Tonk Experience Returns to The Masonic Amphitheatre, Friday, June 15

Clifton Forge, VA (June 5, 2018) - On the Bill Cook stage of the Masonic Amphitheatre, the Honky Tonk Experience returns to excite the crowd with their country music. Friday, June 15 is the date and 7:30pm is the time. Tickets are available for $5.00.

The Honky Tonk Experience brings country classics to life while at the same time performing songs of current artists whose music is true to what country music used to be and still should be. From Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings to Dwight Yoakam and Dale Watson. From Merle Haggard, Alan Jackson and Buck Owens to BR5-49 and The Derailers. A Honky Tonk Experience show brings young and old together on the dance floor, or the lawn of the Masonic Amphitheatre. The “Experience” is a true “hard-core” country music band!!!!

The “Experience” is comprised of four of Richmond, Virginia’s most respected musicians. Each member has forged their own reputation by playing in a variety of other bands over the past 30 years. Brad Spivey provides the classic country lead vocals. Mike Lucas is well known for his distinctive Tele picking. Mark Watts has spent 20+ years drumming up and down the East Coast. Clark Ball, bassist, provides the solid foundation for the band to build their sound upon. In 2016 Stephen McCarthy, from The Long Ryders and The Jayhawks, has become an unofficial fifth member. He will be filling out the Experience sound on pedal steel and baritone guitar.

The Honky Tonk Experience have also shared the stage with an extensive list of national acts. These include Travis Tritt, The Oak Ridge Boys, Marty Stuart, John Anderson, Ronnie McDowell, BR5-49, Dale Watson, Webb Wilder and Junior Brown.

Jeff Stern, executive director of The Historic Masonic Theatre and Masonic Amphitheatre says, “The EXPERIENCE gave us such a high energy show last summer that we begged to have them back! Get ready, here they come”!

Tickets may be purchased online at www.historicmasonictheatre.com or at the Entrance Tent which will open one hour prior to the performance. Bring your lawn chairs or use our bench seating. Concessions are available.
