 | Buena Vista, VA (June 7, 2018) - Margaret Donnan (center) of Covington was selected as the 2017-18 Outstanding Scholar in Physics, during the annual Jackson River Governor’s School Scholars Banquet held May 30 at Southern Virignia University in Buena Vista. Donnan, a recent graduate of Alleghany High School, is pictured with Vice Chair of the JRGS Board Nicole Kellison (left), who also serves as Covington School Board Chair, and JRGS Board Chair Teresa Ellison (right), representing Buena Vista City Schools. Donnan was chosen by her instructor, Steve Nicholson, for the honor. JRGS is hosted by Dabney S. Lancaster Community College on the Clifton Forge campus.
