Clifton Forge Public Library Offers Summer Reading Program on Travel

Clifton Forge, VA (June 23, 2018) - As part of its summer reading program for children ages 3-12, the Clifton Forge Public Library will host Cori’s Travel Agency, a kid’s travel agent who will help the children travel the world, travel through time, and travel with their imagination. Cori Layman’s program will begin at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, June 27. It will be held in the Library’s Michael Armstrong Community Room.

Children will learn how they can travel, and decide which type of travel they like best. They can grab some trail mix as traveling makes the Travel Agent hungry, and they will design a t-shirt or pillowcase. Children may bring their own t-shirt or pillowcase, or they can have one from the library.

Parents or guardians should accompany their preschoolers and primary grade children.

The Summer Free Lunch Program is held at the Clifton Forge Fire Department for children ages 18 and younger. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Following Cori’s Travel Agency program, children may wish to participate in the free lunch program.

The Clifton Forge Public Library is located at 535 Church Street.

For information about any library programs, call 863-2519.
