Callaghan Elementary School Activities Noted   Covington, VA (July 17, 2018) - Several things are going on for Callaghan Elementary School parents to take of in the coming days: • Monday, July 30th: 5-8 PM Community playground work evening. Bring rakes, shoves, wheel barrow, gloves, power saw, and other yard work tools. Supper served at 6:30. Call the school if you plan to eat! • Tuesday, July 31- 5:30 Parent Chromebook Training, 6:00 PM, Parent Advisory meeting for parents, 6:30 PTO Board meeting, 7:30 Volunteer Training Monday, August 6- noon-7:00 Open House At the Open House parents may: 1. Meet the teachers. 2. Join the PTO. Sign up to volunteer with the PTO. 3. Attend orientation for parents. 4. Find out the bus schedule in the school office. 3-6:00 PM Orientation Schedule for Parents: 3:00 Handbook orientation for those new parents or who missed the Jk-K orientation in February. Please visit in your child's class room at these times to learn about the exciting new year planned for your child: 4:00 in grades JK,K,1, & 5- orientation in the classrooms (allow 20-30 minutes) 4:30-5:00 in grades 2-3 orientation in the classrooms 4:30 -5:30 PTO Open House in cafeteria 5-5:30 in grade 4 orientation in the classrooms 7:00- Volunteer training Wednesday, August 8- First day of school, 8:40 AM- 3:20 PM
