Library Requesting Volunteers and Book Donations for Fall Sale

Clifton Forge, VA (Sept. 19, 2018) - The Friends of the Clifton Forge Public Library are requesting donations to support their upcoming fall book sale.  It will be held in the Michael Armstrong Community Room of the library on Friday and Saturday, October 5 and 6.

Books, audio books, CDs, and DVDs will be accepted. Puzzles and games (complete and with no missing or broken pieces) will also be accepted.

The condition of the materials received is very important. For the health and safety of our patrons, volunteers, and staff, we respectfully request books and materials that are in gently-handled condition, clean, dry, and mold-free.

Donations are accepted by the library staff throughout the year during normal operating hours:  Monday and Thursday, 10:00-7:00; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:00-5:00; Saturday, 10:00-1:00.

Through Saturday, September 29, the Friends of the Library will offer a free pick-up service for people with large numbers of books to donate.  To request this service, call the library at 863-2519.

The Friends of the Library also welcome volunteers to assist with the book sale. For further information, phone the library.

The funds raised from the book sales are used to purchase new library materials and to support library programs.

For more information on any library activity, call the Clifton Forge Public Library at 863-2519.

The library is located at 535 Church Street.
