Covington City Council Sets Called Meeting Oct. 15   Covington, VA (Oct. 11, 2018) - There will be a Called Meeting of the Council for the City of Covington on MONDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2018 at 4:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 333 W. Locust Street, Covington, Virginia. The purpose of said meeting is: 1.     To hold a joint Public Hearing with the Covington Planning Commission regarding the following:      1. Special Use Permit request for Catherine Lindenhoker and Amanda Walters, to allow for a drive through coffee shop located on East Madison Street, Altamont.      2. Special Use Permit requst for Datapath Tower, to allow for a public safety communication/commercial tower located at 2000 North Peak Drive, Dry Run      3. Ordinance revision to Section 8-3 of the Covington City Code, to eliminate the renewal requirement for special use permits.      4. Ordinance revision to Appendix B, Zoning, Article XI, Light Industry District (M-1), Section 7 of the Covington City Code, to change the setback regulations by reducing it to 25 feet.
