Four Suspects Arrested In Connection With Malicious Wounding Case   (Editor's note: this is the verbatim press release from the Alleghany County Sheriff's Office) Covington, VA (Oct. 15, 2018) - "On August 29, 2018 our office received a call from Greenbrier County E-911 dispatch they had received a call from a resident who lives on the Virginia, West Virginia line saying there was an individual on their porch and was frightened. "Greenbrier County Sheriff’s office deputies arrived at the residence and discovered a female juvenile had been involved in an altercation. After further investigation into the matter by Greenbrier County Investigators and Alleghany County Investigators it was determined the altercation occurred in Alleghany County. "After the altercation, the four suspects, Dakota Germain, Shawn Murray, Amber Cote and a male juvenile, all from Vermont, fled to North Carolina. The juvenile and Amber Cote were arrested in Concord, North Carolina, while Shawn Murray and Dakota Germain were arrested in Charlotte-Mecklenberg, North Carolina. "All four suspects have been extradited back to Virginia and are awaiting trial for Aggravated Malicious Wounding. "Throughout the course of this investigation Sheriff’s Office investigators worked with the Vermont State Police, Charlotte-Mecklenberg Police Department, Concord Police Department and the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office."
