Narcotics Arrest Leads to Evidence of Multi-State Theft Ring   (Editor's note: the following is a news release from the Covington Police Department) Covington, VA (Oct. 12, 2018) - "On October 12 officers with the Covington Division of Police responded to the Walmart on Thacker Ave for a suspicious person. Upon officers arrival, a male subject fled the scene on foot. His female accomplice was contacted near a vehicle. "A search of the vehicle yielded meth and precursors for the manufacturing of meth. Additional evidence was recovered that pointed to the duo being involved in larcenies and frauds schemes ranging from Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia and Virginia. "The female suspect was arrested on several felony charges and held without bail. "Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Covington Division of Police at 540-965-6333."
