Shooting Under Investigation   (Editor's note: the following is a news release by the Covington Police Dept.) Covington, VA (Oct. 13, 2018) - "On Saturday, October 13, 2018 around 1:11 a.m. officers with the Covington Division of Police responded to the 500 block of N Beverly for a male that had been shot. "After the scene was secured, and the victim was transported to the hospital by emergency medical services personnel, an investigation into the shooting took place. None of the citizens in the house at the time of the shooting are currently considered suspects and there is no danger to the public. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition and our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim's family at this time. "Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Covington Division of Police at 540-965-6333."
