Carl Brinkley

Brinkley Announces Re-Election Bid

Clifton Forge, VA (Oct. 23, 2018) -

Dear Editor,

"I have taken the necessary step0s to qualify myself to run for reelection as a member of Clifton Forge Town Council on the November 6 ballot. I have been a member of Council since 2004, serving as Vice-Mayor first and have been serving as the Mayor since January 2013 until present.

"I have been a very active member, serving on numerous committees and boards to include Chairman of the CF Economic Development Authority, the CF Development Corp, Parks and Trails Committee, and numerous other Boards.

"My other public service includes serving as a charter member of the Free Clinic Board, CF Planning Commission, and CF Main Street.

"There are many areas that are still in the unfinished status that I would like to see completed. Included in this is the Roxbury Rehab Project. Phase #2 is now moving forward with a final completion date scheduled for sometime in the coming year. I serve as Chairman of the Oversite Committee on this Board. There are plans for the expansion of the C&O Shops area, the old high school, the town dam renovation, and the tech park east of the Kroger store.

"I would like to continue being a part of these projects since I have been involved since the initiation of most of them. I feel I have the exp0erience working on these projects. I hope our citizens will attend the forum scheduled the weekend before the election and hear the opinions of our candidates on these very important issues.

"I ask for your support in the upcoming election. Experience is an asset that is hard to beat."

Carl Brinkley, Mayor

Town of Clifton Forge
