Virginia State Police Investigating Fatal Crash In Alleghany County   Alleghany County, VA (Oct. 23, 2018) - Virginia State Police Trooper D.H. Roberts is investigating a single vehicle crash which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred on Saturday (Oct 20) at 6:00 p.m. on Route 687, two point four miles south of Route 605 in Alleghany County. A 2002 Ford F-150 was traveling south on Route 687, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck the bridge and overturned, ejecting the driver. The driver of the Ford was identified as Timothy Lamont McKoy, 40, of Covington, Va. Mr. McKoy was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
