Virginia State Police Investigating Fatal Crash In Rockbridge County   Rockbridge County, VA (Oct. 17, 2018) - Virginia State Police Trooper D.B. Taylor is investigating a motor vehicle crash which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Wednesday (Oct 17, 2018) at 5:13 p.m. on Old Buena Vista Road at its intersection with Forest Grove Road in Rockbridge County. A 2003 Toyota Camry was traveling south on Forest Grove Road, when the vehicle failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of Old Buena Vista Road. A 2005 Ford F-250 traveling west on Old Buena Vista Road struck the Toyota in the intersection. The Toyota was driven by Jamie Grayce Martin, 16, of Lexington, Va. Ms. Martin was wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene. The male passenger in the Toyota was also injured and transported to the hospital. The 2005 Ford was driven by Charles Edward Campbell, III, 19, of Buena Vista, Va. Mr. Campbell was wearing his seatbelt and was also transported for injuries received in the crash. The Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team was called to assist with the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
