State Police Investigating Crash Near I-64 Mile Marker 29   Clifton Forge, VA (Oct. 29, 2018) - Virginia State Police Trooper A.L. McCoy is investigating a single-vehicle crash in Alleghany County. The crash occurred at 12:52 p.m. Monday (Oct. 29). A 2014 Ford Escape was traveling west on Interstate 64 when it ran off the left side of the interstate near the 29 mile marker. The vehicle continued into and along the median. It then crested the embankment, went airborne and landed below I-64 on Route 639. Neither the adult male driver nor adult female passenger survived the crash. The Virginia State Police are still in the process of notifying next of kin. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
