Covington Council To Hold Called Meeting Feb. 19, 2019   Covington, VA (Feb. 14, 2019) - There will be a Called Meeting of the Council for the City of Covington on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2019 AT 4:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 333 W. Locust Street, Covington, Virginia. The purpose of said meeting is: 1.     To hold a joint Public Hearing with the Covington Planning Commission regarding a request of Covington Farm and Fuel, LLC, J.W. Tingler, to            rezone lots described as 135 N. Alleghany Avenue and 00000 N. Alleghany Avenue from R-3 to C-1 for the purpose of expanding the business footprint to enable use as administrative office space. 2.     Presentation of update on Comprehensive Plan Immediately following the joint meeting with Planning Commission: 3.     To hold discussion/consideration of desired procedure for recruitment of city manager 4.     To do any and all things necessary and proper to accomplish the above.
