JRTC Students Do Well In Skills USA Competitions

 
Valley Ridge, VA (March 13, 2019) - Jackson River Technical Center Director, Glenn Spangler, reported to the Joint Board of Control today that several JRTC students did quite well in recent Skills USA competitions. An awards ceremony was held at New River Community College on February 28, 2019.

Cabinetmaking:

1st place, Macyn Carter (eligible for state)

2nd place, Nicholas Mann (eligible for state)

3rd place, Gage McCallister

Culinary Arts:

1st place, Xavier Reed (eligible for state)

Food Preparation Assistant:

2nd place, Sarah Donovan (eligible for state)
