Alleghany County School Board Personnel Actions, 3/19/19   Low Moor, VA (March 19, 2019) - At the conclusion of closed session at Alleghany High School on Monday, March 18, 2019 the School Board took the following personnel action: The School Board approved the appointment of three substitute bus drivers, Mary Lou Ferrell, Whitney M. Nida, and Phillip J. Soyring. The Board approved Cimarron B. Nicely as Assistant Track Coach at Clifton Middle School, and Brian B. Shinault as a Volunteer Assistant Softball coach at Alleghany High School. The School Board accepted the June 30, 2019 retirements of Jan B. Hobbs, Director of Assessment and Accountability, Alleghany County School Board Office; Rebecca C. Johnson, Teacher at Sharon Elementary School; Mary Jane Mutispaugh, Director of Instruction, Alleghany County School Board Office; and Eric L. Stratmann, Math Teacher at Alleghany High School. The School Board accepted the resignations of Kimberly A. Fix, Teacher at Callaghan Elementary School; Amy S. Matney, Teacher Assistant at Clifton Middle School; Zoe A. Stein, English Teacher at Clifton Middle School; and Jennifer S. Taylor, Head JV Volleyball Coach at Alleghany High School.
