Boys Home Hosts First Annual Church Day   Covington, VA (May 9, 2019) - On Tuesday, April 30, 2019, Boys Home of Virginia hosted its first Church Day, welcoming guests from local churches to visit and tour the Boys Home campus. Eighteen guests represented ten churches, including Covington’s Pine Street Baptist Church. Visitors arrived on campus in time for lunch with the students and staff members, served by dining hall staff. After lunch, guests visited several classrooms, the applied trades building, the Ingevity Student Center, the gym, the chapel, and cottages. The afternoon concluded with a question-and-answer panel made up of Boys Home students, Director of Support Services Bobby Trice, and Boys Home School Principal Teresa Johnson. Boys Home is tremendously thankful to all those who made the first Church Day a success.
