Alleghany County School Board Personnel Actions, June 24, 2019   Low Moor, VA (June 25, 2019) - At the conclusion of closed session at the Alleghany County School Board office in Low Moor, on Monday, June 24, 2019 the School Board took the following personnel action: • The School Board approved the appointments of J. Jeff Alleman, Director of Technology; Elizabeth V. Heath, Director of Special Education; J. Keven Rice, Director of Finance; Fred C. Vaughan, Director of Human Resources and Pupil Personnel; Dwayne E. Ross, Principal, Alleghany High School; Karen C. Staunton, Assistant Principal, Alleghany High School; Lucas C. Conner, Intern Assistant Principal, Alleghany High School; Jared A. Brown, Assistant Principal/Activities Director, Alleghany High School; Joshua S. Craft, Principal, Callaghan Elementary School; April C. Easton, Principal, Mountain View Elementary School; Devan A. Nicely, Assistant Principal at Mountain View Elementary School; George M. Wood as Principal at Clifton Middle School and Cindy M. Fox as an Intern Assistant Principal. • Michelle A. Graham was approved as a Social Studies Teacher at Alleghany High School; Hannah C. Pillow, Special Education Teacher at Mountain View Elementary School; Charity M. Simmons, Language Arts Teacher at Clifton Middle School; Adam J. Kelly, Library Media Teacher at Alleghany High School; Darilyn R. McGraw, Library Media Teacher at Mountain View Elementary School; Kathryn M. Berry, Special Education Teacher at Clifton Middle School; Amy H. Conner, Language Arts Teacher at Clifton Middle School; Teresa H. Reed, Agriculture Teacher at Alleghany High School; William K. Bess, Therapeutic Counselor; Deborah C. Fawcett, School Nurse, Clifton Middle School; Lana S. Dotson, Teacher Assistant/Lab, Clifton Middle School; and David A Bowen, Transportation Mechanic. • Substitute Teachers approved include Catherine W. Drummer; Mary Lou Farrell; Steven P. Tremblay, and Cecille F. McDowell. Substitute nurses approved include Stacy A. Dudley; Jean L. Jennings; Sharon L. McCarter; Tanya D. Brown, and Sheila A. Bates. • Extra-Curricular appointments approved include Erin R. Bartley, Cross Country Coach and Nolan E. Caldwell, Volunteer Assistant Football Coach at Clifton Middle School. At Alleghany High School Samantha L. Gray was approved as Academic Assistant Coach; Adrienne D. Young, JV Cheerleading Coach; Hannah M. Bradley, JV Volleyball Head Coach; and Schuyler L. Fury, Color Guard Coach. • The School Board accepted the retirement of Carol R. Claytor, Library Media Teacher at Clifton Middle School, and the resignation of Sarah A. Rowe, Principal at Clifton Middle School. • The School Board also accepted the resignation of Gary W. Rice, Head Baseball Coach at Alleghany High School.
