Joint Meeting On Sheriff Funding Set July 23   Low Moor, VA (July 11, 2019) - Notice of Public Meeting Meeting of Alleghany County, City of Covington And the Sheriff of Alleghany County and City of Covington The three parties will meet on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, 6:00 PM At the Alleghany County Governmental Complex 9212 Winterberry Avenue Covington, Virginia 24426 The purpose of the meeting is for the three parties to initiate Discussions regarding Funding for Sheriff Law Enforcement and Level of Service requirements desired by the City of Covington; The Regional Jail Funding; and Reconciliation of Past Due Billings for Joint Services. This is the Committee’s First meeting and at this meeting The three parties will discuss organizational and other matters which may pertain to the three charges listed above.
